Which are your favorites? 🖤🤍 I’ve always loved black and white photography. It gives me “lost in the world finding your soul” vibes. These are not professional in the least but I may start a personal collection. A fun fact about me is that I have no sense of interior decoration, therefore, my walls are bare with the exception of a few Palace’s Marine Corps accolades and four random frames that I was supposed to use as backdrops. 😂 I have not. Anyways, I hope you like them as much as I do. The boys were compensated via blueberries for their hard work. ❤️

🫣 Those last pictures will make you LOL for sure. 😂 An appreciation post because it’s nice to have it every now and again. 🫶🏼 Noah and Lincoln have been with us since 2011 and 2017, respectively. They have seen some highs and lows, sat with us through our under and grad schools, military service/retirement, new jobs, world events, social media growth, family life events, and so much more. But most importantly, they’ve been part of our birthdays and anniversaries. Every year, Palace and I celebrate our birthdays on 10/10 (mine) and 10/11 (his + anniversary). This year marks 19 years of togetherness 🥂 and 13 years as dog parents. We’re so happy to be sharing all these moments with you as well. We didn’t have a chance to take any new pictures this week as we had another personal life event occur. But we’re so thankful to be here another day celebrating with family, friends and N&L and celebrating with you, our extended family. Thank you for being with us and staying for as long as you have. 💙🥰🥹.

Hi friends! For a while now, I've have been using The Doggie Lift to trim Lincoln's nails. It is the safest way to trim his nails to avoid stress or pain for both parties. In this clip, I forgot to hit the "record" button when I trimmed his back nails. I'll record another video when it's time to trim, again, and capture it then. Let us know how you trim your dog's nails. .

😍 Which Lincoln face is your favorite? Mine are all of them but he’s my child 🤷🏻‍♀️. IF I had to pick one it would be his dirty little face 😂 He just felt like rolling on dirt that day. Also, thank you for answering the Story question about what’s your favorite thing about Lincoln. So many wonderful responses and they’re all right! 🤩.

Welcome Louie! 😍 He’ll be staying with us for a week while his pawrents are on travel. Louie is a miniature poodle and he’s 13 years old. He’s been with his family since he was 8 weeks old. He’s laid back, silent as a ninja and keeps away from Lincoln, just like Noah. Lincoln is too high energy for him, shocker 😂. Louie loves his crate, it’s his safe space. Introductions were easy and everyone has settled in nicely. He’s definitely camera shy as you see midway the post he’s ready to leave. 😄 You’ll probably see him more in our stories. ❤️.

😍 Which is your favorite? They say the oldest sibling is always the shortest. True? 🤔 It is in our case. Noah is shorter at 13 years old, and weighs about 60lbs. Lincoln is 7 years old and weighs between 85-90lbs depending on the time of the year. Also, I 🙋🏻‍♀️ am the oldest of four siblings and I’m the shortest 😂. .

Send Lincoln your healing ❤️. In the last 12 hours, Lincoln has had a tough time. He went to the vet for a his regular checkup and dental cleaning. I told his vet about a cloudy spot on his eye, but the fluorescent eye stain showed nothing concerning and told us to keep an eye on it. Lincoln had anesthesia, which he doesn’t handle well, causing grogginess, whining, and a small amount of blood in his stools, as usual. By day 2, he’s usually back to normal.

However, last night, he yelped in his crate, and we found a puddle of blood underneath him. We rushed him to the vet ER, but they couldn’t examine him because he was too upset. Despite our request, the staff didn’t use a soft muzzle, which made things worse. Lincoln doesn’t have a bite history but he will growl and thrash. We always offer our assistance because he’s comfortable with us touching him anywhere making any exam go smoothly. We left with no answers and a bloody p**per. He had two smaller squirts of p**p with some blood before leaving the ER. He continued to whine overnight. He had his breakfast this morning and just before this post, he had a semi-solid p**p with a tiny bit of blood, showing he’s on the mend.

We believe the anesthesia and stress caused the excess blood, and it seems to worsen as he gets older. I’ll need to find another solution for his dental care. Although our visit might have been unnecessary, a thorough exam would have eased our worries if the staff had listened to us. The staff was very professional and friendly, no issues on that end. One of the techs even recognized us. They just weren’t attentive to what we expressed. This wasn’t our first time going there either; once for Noah’s sonogram and the other when Lincoln swallowed a small toothpick.

I’m sharing this to highlight that some dogs don’t handle anesthesia well and if your dog bleeds like Lincoln did, stay calm. Make sure the vet staff listens to you, as you know your dog best.

Let us know if you’ve experienced something similar and what worked for you. We appreciate all your love and support for the boys. 🫶🏼 If you want to see the 🩸 you can on our IG post. There isn’t a way to warn you before seeing it here on Facebook. .

Ready. Set. Go! 🥹 The last two photos. 🫶🏼 My snack inspectors ate! Literally. Practicing with action or movement photos and I’m learning I probably need to use our camera stand. Not only am I a bad aim but it would help if the camera wasn’t moving around when I toss the treat. 😂 I think Lincoln had about 30 blueberries and Noah had 20 in this effort. I was hoping to get pictures of their faces (focused) right before they caught the treat, if they did. Lincoln was more enthusiastic about it. Noah used to be able to catch all treats but I quickly learned he either didn’t see the treat coming his way or he didn’t hear me countdown like I normally do 😞. But he had fun with all the extra treats. I’ll use a stand next time and let you if it made a difference. 🥰.

How it started vs how it went 🫣 These were the first pictures I took of both Noah and Lincoln, on 9/24/2017. It was the first week Lincoln came to us. From the beginning, we saw that Noah didn’t really care for Lincoln. Noah came up to Lincoln, sniffed him and walked away. Noah doesn’t really care for dogs in general. He’s only really cared about two dogs, his brother Sox, who he hasn’t seen in a few years. Albert, my SIL’s dog, an English Bulldog, who passed away a few years ago 🕊️. All three had the same energy, vibe and personality. So, Noah kept his distance from Lincoln since day one. Noah just wasn’t feeling Lincoln’s energy. A few days later, Palace and I walked away from the living room for maybe 5 seconds and the next thing we hear is a loud growl and high pitch yelp. It appeared Lincoln (who already had a bad habit of getting in Noah’s face + we were working to stop it) was playing/goofing around too close to Noah. In doing so, he landed on Noah’s leg, causing Noah to react, and nipped Lincoln’s nose. But Noah’s leg was sprained in the process. That’s what you see in the two last pictures. Noah made a full recovery a couple of weeks later. After that, we’ve never left the boys together by themselves. Over time, Lincoln has learned to keep his distance by way of us training him to do so. Many of you have asked how they get along so well. It’s because we conditioned and trained Lincoln to keep his distance. He respects Noah’s space, whether from Noah’s correction and/or by us advocating for Noah. They now have had a roommate relationship since 2017. We’ve never had a fight or any other incidents since that first week. As you have seen from our content, that’s how daily life is for us. But we always make sure safety is our priority. So there you have it. If you made it this far, thank you for reading this unnecessary lengthy part of our history. 😅 It probably sheds a little more light on why Noah doesn’t care for Lincoln but how we came to understand their personalities and maintain a healthy balance. 🖤..

Our Story

Noah, Born July 27, 2012 American Bully Jacksonville, FL I was originally to be tossed as garbage by my breeder because I was born a runt. It wasn't until my humans felt compassion for me and saved me from being doomed. I now live in a happy home where I am spoiled rotten, loved and cared for my every need.

Lincoln, Born April 16, 2017 American Bully, Jacksonville, FL

My parent found me on Craigslist because my original family wanted to rehome me. I went to live with Noah and the humans when I was five months old. I am wild crazy horse full of energy but I am sweet, cuddly, and very smart. I love my new home!
