When DJ Anyaloko....the journalist interviewing 2Face Idibia asked him why he chose to marry Annie Idibia out of all the women in his life ?

He relaxed back on his sit, took a deep breathe in reflection and gently answered her with this:

“You see, Perro Adeniyi who gave birth to my first son graduated from a top UK University as a medical student and is now a doctor.

She is very beautiful and intelligent from a very wealthy family”. He continued “Sandra who gave birth to my other two kids is a dealer in expensive diamond and gold jewelries. She was already a multi-millionaire when I met her, she owns one of the most expensive houses in Banana Island. Her family too are very well to do”. He took another deep breathe and continued “Sumbo who gave birth to 2 kids for me is also a very intelligent first class Lawyer. She has worked on and won many big cases for so many wealthy men and women in this country and abroad, that’s how she made her money and she Too is very beautiful as well”.

Then with a loving gentle smile on his Face he took another deep breathe and said this “But you see Annie is from an average background like myself, we both started from nothing. She stuck by me through it all. When there was no car she hopped on bikes, took the bus and trekked with me, when there was no money or house or hit songs or or millions of albums sold or big awards and accolades, when I used to repeat just 3 sets of clothes, she would always hold my head, look into my eyes and tell me things will be fine one day.
When I wasn’t handsome, she would call me her Prince Charming, when I wasn’t celebrated, she called me her KING and said she is my number one fan and to this day she still is. Even when I made it big as a musician and started misbehaving and controversies almost destroyed my career, she would go down on her knees and pray to God to show me the way and give me victory over my enemies.

Now if I was still that poor boy struggling to make it like every other young chap on the streets of Lagos, do you think a Doctor, a Lawyer and a multi-millionaire business woman will want to look at me twice or even have my kids? NO. So to answer your question, I didn’t chose who had more to offer me, I chose Annie because she offered me her all when we had very little”

“I was also singing. In 1991, I was told someone wanted to sign me. ‘We are going to sign you on’. He came from Sony Music. So he called me and I signed the contract. He signed. And then he said ‘Okay we are going to start recording’,” he said in a recent chat with Biola Bayo on the ‘TalktoB’ podcast.

Iyanya admitted he endorsed his ex-girlfriend Yvonne Nelson's controversial memoir, 'I Am Not Yvonne Nelson,' without realizing he was featured in it.

“I endorsed Yvonne Nelson’s book without knowing I was in the book. We were cool, we still talk to this day, so I didn’t know that I was in the book. When the book came out, everywhere was buzzing. People were telling me I am in the book. But I have not read it till now.

“I know I promise to address the allegations she made in her book, but I’m not ready to respond. I’m not going to respond to stuff like that, being me comes with a lot of madness.”

Women Breaking Boundaries: Idia Aisien Lands Endorsement Deal with Standout Properties Limited

Women’s Day may be over, but it’s still women’s history month, so we’re still celebrating women who are breaking boundaries.

And one of these women is award-winning Actress, TV Host, Philanthropist and Luxury Lifestyle Influencer, Idia Aisien.

You will recall that she previously broke colourism boundaries in her debut role as “Nneka” in the Nollywood remake of classic, “Nneka the Pretty Serpent,” and also, as one of the first indigenous Nigerian faces of international beauty brand, Lancôme, amongst other accomplishments.

And now, Idia has landed an endorsement deal with acclaimed Real Estate company, Standout Properties Limited, making it her first ever ambassadorship role in the real estate sector.

Speaking about her role as brand ambassador, Idia says:

“In Nigeria, the luxury real estate investment market clientele is predominantly male-dominated. What stands out to me about Standout Properties Limited, is their inclusive culture - one that presents attractive investment opportunities, through plans that appeal to both men and women. In addition, their growth rate from the height of the pandemic up until now, has been truly phenomenal.

As brand ambassador, I look forward to further amplifying awareness about their accessible investment plans for all.”

Speaking on why Idia was chosen as Brand Ambassador, Managing Director, Standout Properties LTD, Mr. Blessing Obomovo, says, “Idia Aisien was chosen because of her versatility and creativity. Her untainted brand and proven track record of integrity aligns with the vision of standout properties limited. With a shared commitment to excellence and innovation we will be able to redefine the future of real estate together.”

Following the marriage of Moses Bliss and Ghanaian Marie Wiseborn, Reno Omokri observes that when you tell many Southern Nigerian girls 'I love you', they interpret it as 'You owe me':

"I can understand why Moses Bliss married a Ghanaian. I have been to Ghana, and their women tend to be easier to relate with than many Southern Nigerian women. In fact, is love without billing still possible in Southern Nigeria? In our part of the world, 'He is loving' means 'He is spending'. When you tell many Southern Nigerian girls, 'I love you', they hear, 'You owe me'. Especially those with Industrial Money Obtainer culture.

If Nigeria had visa-free or visa-on-arrival access to more countries, there would be an epidemic of unmarried women in Nigeria. Because when Southern Nigerian men travel within Africa and outside Africa and encounter beautiful women who are not money conscious, they quickly lose their appetite for Nigerian women. Already, Nigerian men are considered a catch by South African and Kenyan women.

We urgently need a cultural reorientation amongst our women. Especially in Southern Nigeria. The monetisation of relationships in Southern Nigeria is just too suffocating. I am well-traveled, and I am yet to see the level of commercialisation of romance I have seen in Southern Nigeria. I call it as I see it!"

Nollywood actors feature in "A Movie Called Ghana." - Ghanaian artist Mr. Logic calls out Lil Win for casting Nigerian actors in "A Country Called Ghana," fearing it could lead to mockery by Nigerians.

"From my point of view,it is a "A Country Called Ghana", so why do you have Nigerian actors in it. The next thing you'll see, they'll be mockîng us Ghanaians in the movie. You need to be careful when you're scripting your stories. No matter what he has in the script, this is a movie about Ghana and shouldn't feature Nigerian actors. These are major areas where we Ghanaians make it seem like Nigerians are bigger than us.

"How do you make a movie titled a Country called Ghana and then have Nigerian actors in it, that's senséless. Is he tryîng to tell us that there aren't actors in Ghana. This is a movie that has a target of being uploaded on Netflix, so he wants to have Nigerians tell a Ghanaîan story to the world! He should just change the title to "A Country Called Nigeria" and stop puttîng us at the feet of Nigerians." Mr Logic
