Join us Wednesday night January 8 at 6pm as Sanctuary Choir and Orchestra kickoff the new year. We welcome interested singers and instrumentalists. Come and bring a friend.

Choir meets in the Choir Room and the orchestra is in the Sanctuary.

What Goes Up Must Come Down!!!

Bring you work clothes, gloves, lunch and stay after church Sunday to get the trees down in the Sanctuary.

There are teams assigned to garland and the two side trees. We need LOTS of help on the 4 big trees at top of choir loft. Trees come apart. Lights come off and are coiled and placed in boxes that go with each tree. Limbs come off and are put in boxes by color wrap on the stem (sorts them by size). We work one tree on either side of loft at a time.

Please make this a part of how you serve this season!!!

We will sign forms for community service hours for school, scouts etc if your kids come and help us work!

WELCOME TO CAROLS BY CANDLELIGHT

We look forward to welcoming you tonight at Carols by Candlelight 2024!

We are looking forward to sharing the message of God’s greatest gift to us through this year’s Carols by Candlelight. We would like to share some information to make your experience at Carols a great one from the time you arrive on campus.

NEW THIS YEAR: ENTRANCE AND SEATING
Note that this year there will not be a waiting area on the first floor of the main building. Instead, all exterior entrances to the building will be closed until one hour before the service begins. At 6:00 p.m., exterior doors will open and you may go straight to the Sanctuary for seating.

TICKETS
It is not necessary to print your tickets. You can show them (or your order confirmation) on your phone if you prefer.

ARRIVING AT FBJ & PARKING
First Baptist Jackson is located at 431 N. State Street in downtown Jackson. Parking is available in the following areas:

Parking lots on North Street, to the east of the church (in the block next to the Two Mississippi Museums);
To the north of the church there are lots located on the east and west sides of N. State and High Streets; and,
On the south side of the church, in the parking lot of the Mississippi Baptist Convention Board at the corner of N. State and Mississippi Streets.

WHEELCHAIR ENTRANCE
If you use or someone in your group uses a wheelchair, please enter at the President Street entrance (across from the State Capitol). Doors will open early for you, to make accessing spaces reserved for wheelchairs as easy as possible.

SEATING
Your ticket guarantees admission if you are seated no later than 15 minutes after the doors open. At that time tickets are no longer required and seats are filled on a first come-first served basis as long as there is space.

CHILDCARE
Please note that childcare is not available.

We are excited to be presenting Carols by Candlelight again this year. We can’t wait to see you this weekend!

The FBJ Orchestra Scholarship Program has a few openings for SPRING 2025. An audition, interview and recommendation are required. Undergraduate and graduate students are eligible. You do not have to be a music major to apply.
