Hello listeners,
In this week's podcast, Jae and I delved into the complex topic of trauma. We briefly explored some of the science behind trauma and looked at how deeply distressing or disturbing experience can have long-lasting effects on a person's mental, physical, and emotional health. I explained how traumatic experiences can range from single incidents like car accidents, to ongoing issues such as abuse or neglect. I shared some personal experiences that I hope will be helpful for others who may be struggling with similar situations. *Podcast will post within the next 24 hours*

We plan to continue to discuss trauma in our next few episodes including the journey to healing. YOU will have an opportunity to call in and ask questions! I am also working on a line-up of guest speakers who can share both knowledge and personal experiences.
Below you will find the books I mentioned in the podcast. These are excellent resources to help improve your understanding of trauma and the mind body connection (I highly recommend)

• What Happened to You?: Conversations on Trauma, Resilience, and Healing Hardcover – April 27, 2021 by Oprah Winfrey (Author), Bruce D. Perry (Author)
