E-TRON! I spent 3 days with the 2024 Audi Q8 e-tron Sportback courtesy of and I think found the perfect house to film my review in! Stunning, isn’t it? You remember I flew to Dubai back in March to drive it firsthand with , and as I said before, Audi builds one of the most engaging EVs. MCR Verdict? It’s quick and fun to drive, looks expensive, smells expensive, very efficient, feels a tad heavy, Audi lightshow never gets old, and its practical for a family of 5.

I recommend you go for the conventional mirrors I have on this model rather than the gimmicky side camera “mirrors”. These are more intuitive, easier to use, and more affordable overall.

• Naming: Explained
The Q8 e-tron is NOT an electric version of the current Q8. The Q8 e-tron was formerly known as the “e-tron" when first unveiled in 2019.

• Range: Impressive
It is absolutely mind blowing how efficient the regen braking is in this car and how quick it recharges. I was driving on an incline for less than 3 km but the car recharged almost 20 km of range back! It’s ideal for our roads in Lebanon.

• Convenience: Through the roof
I love the fact the Q8 e-tron is AWD. Just imagine how capable it is during winter; all that power will easily get you out of any situation. It’s also incredibly quick, and since it’s an Audi it is engaging for the driver. Ambient lighting, panoramic sunroof, leather seats, air suspension, wireless Apple CarPlay, and Matrix LED lights make the Q8 e-tron a proper luxury SUV.

REVIEW # 62! I’m featuring the affordable 2023 Hyundai i20 from . It’s a popular offering in Lebanon and you may consider it when looking for a small city car under $20,000. I had the chance to spend a few days with it to see what you get for your money.

I tried to summarize my experience with the car in the following points:
• Easy-to-use interior: It’s a straightforward cabin with simple buttons and basic controls. Nothing too fancy but it works just fine. Wired Apple CarPlay is standard.
• Runs on air: The 1.4L 4-cylinder engine is super-efficient. It makes only 100 PS which may be an issue when overtaking, but keep in mind it weighs just 1,066 kg!
• Reliable champion: Hyundai’s reputation speaks for itself and this reliable little thing will live forever. It’s important you choose a car that’s proven to have no issues in the long run.
• Funky design: We can all agree that Hyundai’s design language has been OUF in the past few years and it’s transforming its smallest cars. The modern tailbar, sporty grille, and sexy alloy rims make up an appealing little city car. I wish we get the higher trim in Lebanon to benefit from the full LED lighting elements.
• Fits your friends: Even though it’s a small and compact car, it can easily fit 3 of your friends in the back; trunk size is better than the competition at 325L so it should fit around 230 Big Macs.

2024 PANAMERA! I'm at the regional premiere of the all new 2024 Porsche Panamera in Dubai thanks to . It's in its third generation and sexy as ever, especially in this Madeira Gold!

It looks similar to the outgoing model but features additional air inlets above the front license plate (for cooling its new powertrain lineup). It has new window lines and the LED Matrix Design headlights are now standard.

We have a new logo for the Turbo models in Turbonite Gray.

The Turbo E-Hybrid sports the 670 HP twin-turbo V8 mated to a more powerful electric motor and bigger battery pack.

The interior follows the company's design language we saw first on the Taycan and then the new Cayenne. Gear selector mounted next to the steering wheel and an optional passenger is on the menu too.

PAGANI! This is the $4.1 million Pagani Huayra Roadster at and I was kindly handed the keys to review it and tell you all you need to know about it…what an opportunity! I wish Instagram lets me post a 30-picture post because it was so hard for me to choose just 10.

This is number 57 of 100 ever produced and it’s one of those cars you can’t believe is real until you see it in front of your eyes; so much beauty to take in. Keep in mind this is a performance car and everything you see is there for a purpose. How they managed to combine both is surreal to me. Fun Fact: The design theme is aviation so most controls inside are “airplane propellers” and toggle switches; the odometer is displayed as engine hours rather than kilometers.

Anyone who doesn’t drool over the design of the Touring must be a psychotic madman with no taste in cars, or a taste in anything for that matter. You probably think sparkling water tastes delicious. A normal operating human being must, stressing on must, be physically attracted to this car. Thank you.

How does it drive?
Incredible, just superb. It’s the crème de la crème of modern day sportscars particularly because we still have the potent twin-turbo inline 6 under the hood with unlimited burbles. (GCC-specced car not Euro, so no suffocating OPF filters).

The Touring isn’t particularly light at 1,865 kg (almost the weight of an M5) but will still sprint to 100 km/h in 3.6 seconds…in a practical family wagon. Anything under 4 seconds is too quick. Visibility is compromised in the Touring and it will be harder to maneuver at 4.8 meters long.

There’s also the new BMW infotaiment screen – a large curved dual-screen setup running on their latest software. It’s still quick and easy to use, though I’m not a fan of the “apps” menu; icons are too small and the colors look dated.

Sound 10/10, Looks 10/10, Interior 9.5/10, Dog Friendly 10/10, Performance 13/10 for me the car is flawless. Go buy it. Ok.

I’M IN OMAN! Welcome to the world premiere of the 2024 Audi Q8 e-tron edition Dakar, a super cool off-roading and high-riding version of the electric Q8 e-tron. Frankly, this is the version of the Q8 e-tron I would buy – it combines the striking and futuristic design with ruggedness and capability + SUPER quick acceleration…it loves to go sideways hehe

Not a lot of people talk about electric cars in the off-road scene and how relaxing it is to tackle rough terrains in complete silence – it’s a nature-friendly experience. Keep in mind it’s got a new “offroad mode”, that paired with instant 664 N.m of torque, it is READY.

We were invited to Salalah in Oman to experience the new Q8 e-tron edition Dakar among other prototype cars to be shared later. It’s an opportunity I’ve always dreamed of – getting to drive pre-production cars and then assessing them as an automotive journalist and mechanical engineer makes me so proud lol. I told them it needs an external lightbar to add to the it’s Dakar-inspired look.

• It’s inspired by the Dakar-ready RS Q e-tron
• Rides on General Grabber AT3 all-terrain tires
• It’s 65 mm higher than the normal Q8 e-tron – 220 mm ground clearance.
• Makes 408 PS & 664 N.m – 114 kWh battery capacity – 450 km of range
• 21 deg approach/19 deg breakover/28 deg departure – 300 mm wading depth
• Costs 120,000 euros from Germany

The Audi RS Q e-tron, on which this car is inspired by, scored four stage wins during its debut at the Dakar Rally in 2022 and won its first desert rally at the Abu Dhabi Desert Challenge. Audi is the first car manufacturer to use an electric drivetrain with an energy converter at the Dakar Rally.

I recently had a look at this very nicely specced Audi Q8 S-Line on display at @elegantmotorss! It is a MY2019 Q8 55 TFSI and powered by a 3L turbocharged V6 making 340 PS and 500 N.m of torque! It's my first experience with a Q8 and I'll have to say it's such an impressive SUV. The Virtual Cockpit is just amazing and I wish other brands would learn from Audi's infotainment system! The quilted leather, panoramic sunroof, and 22-inch rims all make this Q8 a desirable package even for non-car guys. I like it, a lot.
