Here's something I haven't mentioned before—I visit so many thrift stores that I naturally become friendly with the staff. Every now and then, out of nowhere, they hook me up with a discount. Yesterday, I grabbed something for $25, and the cashier leaned in and whispered, "I'm gonna give you a discount," dropping my total to $18. The moral of the story? Being kind is free.

While watchers doesn’t mean buyers, I always pay attention to them—especially when comparing to items with low views, no watchers, and no messages. Those are the items to steer clear of in the future. Repeat this process thousands of times, and you'll sharpen your sourcing instincts.

Original 1990 Troll doll order form—back when you had to mail in checks, paperwork, and wait. In a previous post, you’ll find the Grandma and Grandpa troll dolls on page 5, which sold for a hefty $59.99 each in 1990. No surprise that smaller trolls were everywhere—$60 for a large 13" troll back then was a serious splurge!

This booklet and order form came with the local troll buyout, and I can’t even find these order catalogs online—they’ve been lost to time. This is history!

Troll Buyout Updates: At first, I overlooked the small trolls, thinking the real value was in the larger ones—but these little guys are proving to be heavy hitters! These date back to 1964, and you can usually find the year stamped on the back, neck, or bottom of the feet.

If a troll has no markings or tags, identifying it can be tricky. The ones to watch for are by Thomas DAM / Norfin.
