We had a packed house at Amana Heritage Society on Wednesday night for the official book release and signing of “The Worldly Game: The Story of Baseball in the Amana Colonies” by Monys Hagen. Monys is a riveting speaker and a PhD historian who specializes in women, immigration, and sport history. We’re taking some time off to root for the Iowa women’s basketball team in the NCAA tournament, but there will be a state wide radio program featuring Monys next month!
