Arrakis Records, or Arrakis Studio, is an independent record label based in Indiana. It was founded in early 2015, by Troy Padilla in Indianapolis, Indiana. Originally the label was created for the sole purpose of releasing the first Crow Effect album. Currently they also distribute other artists like Defame and other of Padilla's projects and collaborations. The label is named after the fictional

desert planet featured in the Dune series of novels by Frank Herbert. Its slogan is "Arrakis Records--He who controls the spice controls the universe." Arrakis Studio specializes in brand design, multi-media promotion, recording, mastering, talent acquisition, production, manufacturing, distribution, marketing, enforcement of copyright for sound recordings and music videos, talent scouting and development of new artists ("artists and repertoire" or "A&R"); maintaining contracts with recording artists and their managers.
