As business owners know, WOM (word-of-mouth) is the strongest form of marketing out there. Nothing screams louder than a family member or friend directly referring us as their wedding videographer/ photographer, and I encourage you to do the same for your local network of business owners.

Further, I would like to personally thank all of our past clients over the past 8 years in business. It's been an amazing ride, but I'd be lying if I said there weren't any mistakes made along the way. Many of our wedding couples were very unsatisfied with the lead time of their final deliverables (and rightfully so).

In the worst part of it, there were some couples that waited over a year for their wedding film. This resulted in stress, refunds, negative WOM, and numerous personal challenges. The couples who waited over the deadline for their wedding deliverables were very happy with the end-product, but the delivery time was way off (like, WAY off). The main cause of all of this was the transition from working full-time W2 career to self-employed videographer in 2022. And work just kept piling up more and more, then other life stuff happens...

If it were easy, everyone would do it, right?

ANYWAYYYYY, I am genuinely so happy to say...

We are 2 weddings away from being 100% caught up. This means that every single wedding that has been filmed has also been delivered to the client. It has taken me the past 3 years to get to this point in the business.

All that being said, I'm convinced that next year will be a movie...

Not scary, funny, romantic, or action-packed. Not mysterious, thrilling, or adventurous...

But rather, a mixture of all of the various genres.

Check out this new article on our blog! The evolution of “The Wedding Video” is actually pretty wild. With the rise of AI technology and more advanced equipment I can see why the typical point and shoot “home video style” wedding film has transformed into the cinematic wedding movie you may see today.

BB Focus does both, by the way. Personally, I love the “home video style” with minimal editing. But I would also want a nice cinematic film made for those times I just want to see a nice highlight from the day!
