Five months ago I had a One-to-one meeting with a non-owner salesperson.
I make this distinction, because the only "follow-up" and attempts to connect beyond that first meeting have been targeted toward getting me to buy the company's services.

The e-mail that came, 12 days later, began like this:
Hey Sandra,

Did you know that 37 percent of small businesses plan to increase their digital marketing budget within the next year? And you can be one of them! (Whoo hoo -- I can increase my marketing budget 🥳)

During our demo, we discussed how tough digital marketing can be, (except, we did not have a "demo" or discuss any such thing...), but we have a team of marketing experts that can help for a fraction of the cost! You can learn more about our marketing plans here.

All this person did was pass my contact information to their data entry staff to add me to their mailing list.

Today's email message just "wanted to reach out to see if anything has changed regarding your needs for digital marketing." Prices are increasing in 2022.
So??!!

This person has no clue what my company does. They are doing their "job" I guess -- selling. Except I have no need for their services, now or ever.
Maybe if they talked with and got to know me, they would know that.

It is ! Establishments like Longs Bakery have ramped up production for this special day. Falling on a Friday - a common doughnut day at the office - has probably doubled demand.
Planning ahead and using the opportunity to leverage this "holiday" for are both wise choices for the doughnut shops of the nation.
