#HealthyMe Congregations as Connectors Virtual Town Hall
Weeks before the declaration of a global health pandemic, ten Marion County congregations began meeting as the #HealthyMe Learning Community to share stories, envision programs and establish goals in supporting health and wellness partnerships in the predominantly African American neighborhoods where they serve. On Friday January 29, 2021, 12-1:30pm EST, select panelists from this community shared lessons learned about opportunities and challenges, including the importance of trust, relationships, and cultural capital in connecting with people for holistic resource access and better health outcomes. State Representative Robin Shackleford (D-98 Indianapolis) presented opening remarks.
