Where are you going?

If you've lost your job, you get to decide how you are going to respond. Yes, I know, some things are out of your control. But, what do you have control over?

What direction are you going to point your attention, your efforts?

Are you going to do something you've always wanted to do? Are you going to go back to school? Are you going to find a job in the same industry? Are you going to move to another city? Are you going to find any kind of work you can right now to buy time while you continue looking for a better job?

So many possibilities of where you can go. What you can do.

Change is hard. But, it can also be a blessing. How will you use this opportunity to take you where you really want to go?

What excellence do you bring to your work?

If you've lost your job and you'll looking for what's next, its helpful to consider your skills and strengths and have clarity around the things that you do with excellence.

The best way to do that is to look back at your past experiences: Jobs, volunteer experiences, etc. Think about the things you were good at, great at and even exceptional at.

The things you do with excellence is that sweet spot where you really shine.

Celebrate with me! It's been a long road to get here, but just uploaded the very last module of the Laid Off or Let Go Course. It all started in 2016 when I was Laid Off from a job I loved. Then in 2019 I lost another job. In 2023 when I noticed so many other people were struggling with job losses too, I got the idea to create the course.
