🔥🎶 Battle of the Beats! 🎶🔥
The Union for Black Identity (UBI) and Marian University’s Unity Center kicked off Black History Month with an epic Verzuz Competition! 🎤✨ Team Old School (faculty & staff) took on Team New School (UBI student board) in a high-energy showdown of iconic Black music. From The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air to The Proud Family, every round had the crowd vibing and voting! 🏆🎵
A night of culture, competition, and celebration—because Black history IS music history. 🖤🎧🔥

Cassie Mitchell, Staff Reporter

Cassie Mitchell is a current junior at Marian University double majoring in Graphic Design and Communication. Cassie Mitchell is heavily involved on campus. Cassie is the marketing and social media manager for the Theatre Department, a member of Color Guard, and a Career Consultant in The Exchange. Cassie has a passion for creativity and is excited to join the Phoenix this year and contribute new things to student news!
