Today Mr. Miles, our Founder and Executive Director and acting Co - Chair for the Youth Sub Commitee ICSWG working group gave his statements on the floor of the United Nations Permanent Forum for People of African Descent at its third session in Geneva, Switzerland. Our Executive Director advocated for two youth seats to be made available on the Permanent Forum and for the endorsement and support of the Pan-African Student Congress, a global mechanism that would allow Black and African student clubs to interact with the Forum as a bloc. Mr. Miles statements were met with widespread support, applause, and immediate endorsement from two member states: Nigeria and Venezuela. His statements re-centered Youth at the Forum and set the precedent for renewed youth involvement. Our Founder continues to do the work of uplifting the voices of Black Youth globally wherever he goes or whatever spaces he occupies. #UN #Geneva #PFPAD
