Today's Fun Fact: In the 1960s, Diamond Peak—then known as Ski Incline—was the first to make snow in Lake Tahoe. With the recent colder temperatures, snowmaking machines have been working overtime across the region to keep the awesome skiing and riding conditions in the basin.

I have been scrambling to find and photograph some of the Desert Big Horn Sheep in time for the sheep show in Reno. Today I finally found a heard and spent most of the afternoon through sunset photographing them. I was thrilled to get some good black and white portraits and almost went home, but had a feeling the sunset could be worth staying for and boy am I glad I stuck around. This will be on display at the sheep show later this month in Reno.
