BREAKING NEWS: A semi-truck hauling five Hi-Lo forklift machines struck the viaduct on M-53, just south of Third St. around 3:30 p.m. Friday. One of the machines was ripped off from the trailer, sliding north down the highway, snarling the afternoon rush hour traffic. According to Police Chief Brett Selby, at least one steel girder was hit on impact, causing some damage. Railroad officials were contacted to stop all trains until the integrity of the bridge could be inspected. Traffic was not only backed up on M-53 in both directions, but also throughout the downtown area of Imlay City. no injuries were reported and Imlay City firefighters washed the area down from leaking fluids. We'll have more on this incident in next week's issue of the Tri-City Times.

Little and Junior Miss Imlay City Pageant Returns for 2025 Season

You heard it here first, folks! The Little and Junior Miss Imlay City pageant is back for its third annual season. The event will take place on May 17th at the Imlay City Middle School. Registration is open now until March 31st, and there will be a sign-up event on February 28th from 3:30p.m.-6:00p.m. at Borland Elementary School.

Anyone interested in judging the event, especially former Little and Junior Miss Blueberry contestants, is encouraged to reach out to [email protected] or through a private message on our page.
