A run plus 30 extra pounds
Some days (like many of us) we can go hours or days without talking to anyone. I am growing more comfortable with the silence and appreciating my times where I have the solace and space to work on designing my own future. It’s not easy. Sometimes I distract myself with anime or whatever my mind is drawn to in its boredom. But even if I don’t accomplish everything the day has planned I gotta remind myself to be grateful because being in this image is really so rare!! To be alive in this time is so rare!!!! So appreciate every breath and every step!!!

Every run tells a story. I don’t always anticipate my runs with great excitement. This Monday Morning I knew what needed to be done though. It’s so easy to get comfortable, miss a run or even a Monday workout. When you look in the mirror and you feel content it’s easy to skip a day. But I knew for a fact that if I were to just push myself and do something that I know my peers wasn’t doing I could elevate myself that much more. That momentum will help take me through my morning, my day and my week. Mondays may not be the easiest day to push yourself but do what you have to do so that you can keep that momentum up.

You can’t expect your dreams to come True if you’re not working on it. If you say you want it more than the next person put in that much more hours, focus and find that flow state and maintain it. It’s true. We all have the same 24 hours in a day. Many of us sleep 7 to 8 hours each night. So that leaves us with 16 hours 16 hours of us awake. What will you do with those hours today? Recently, I started looking at the hours of the day as chips. How can I make these ships matter more? How can I add value to these chips? We can’t leave with all of our chips in so how will you spend yours?

Some days I wake up and put my feet on the floor and I don’t stop moving after that. Other days I look at the clock passing 5,6,7, 8 and 9 AM and I can just let the day pass me by. Only difference between those days is I give myself the opportunity to succeed. Don’t let the time pass you by life is in front of you.

I want to Celebrate Serena Williams today. Number 1 Player in Tennis for my whole life. She holds the most Grand Slam Titles in singles, doubles, and mixed doubles pretty much of all time. She was born in Saginaw, Michigan but raised in Compton, California by her Father Richard Williams and mother Oracene Prince. When she turned 9 she moved to West Palm Beach and her tennis game changed from then on. She’s a true symbol of Black Excellence, Strength, Spirit, Power, and Perseverance!! We have Role Models!!

This is an appreciation post. First Pic is April 2020 beginning of pandemic and Second Pic is Today February 2021. I pride myself in maintaining good physical shape but sometimes the emotions or mental wouldn’t be just as strong. My life and yours changed so rapidly within a span of 2 months. Things suddenly weren’t so certain. I chose to start my Run Club Journey.

Fast forward to today. I’m even more ravenous than I thought I could become. I’ve hit multiple lows but the Sun gives me a reason to shine. My approach, the tenacity, I’ve lost my fear of the elements and I’m choosing to respect and work on what’s in front of me. Warriors fight. You can’t win every battle but learn from every stride.
