did you know today was ?! we're here for it, clearly. 💁🏾‍♀️🙋🏽‍♀️💪🏾

and not just because the space is created and owned by a Black woman. but, because SO many Black women use as a vessel to start and grow their own businesses. to be weaved in the fabric of some of the dopest brands is powerful.

here are a few things you can do today (and other days too) to make sure we keep progressing:
1️⃣ make an effort to spend your money with Black (woman) owned businesses. let's keep the dollars circulating!
2️⃣ give a Black woman owned business tips and constructive criticism on how they can better serve their customers.
3️⃣ tag your favorite Black woman owned businesses in the comments below👇🏾
4️⃣ if you're a true ally to this community, you must understand that working to ensure equity could mean you making/getting less so that someone else has an opportunity🔑 remember that!

elated to be the recipient of an of Color x relief grant!😁

is a platform dedicated to supporting diverse entrepreneurs with access to the capital, coaching, and connections needed to launch and grow successful businesses. is currently raising funds to streamline our business processes and systems so that we can scale to more locations, and create more impactful video and audio content.

this, along with the other grants we've received, are helping us thrive so that we can continue being a hub for women content creators of color (*clears throat* YOU) using their digital voice to change the world and inspire. because WE ARE indeed CHANGING THE WORLD🌍!

hi! i'm Patrice Cameau, the owner of CAMPspace, a hub for women content creators who are using their digital voice to change the world and inspire the masses. it’s about more that booking the space to shoot photos and video, or record a podcast. for me, it’s about creating a world where people, primarily women of color, understand their influence, and know that it can be used to sustain their lifestyle and help them accomplish their WILDEST DREAMS.

coming to this realization didn’t happen over night and it damn sure wasn’t easy. in fact, i’m still in the throws of trying to survive a pandemic - one that halted revenue for nearly 2 months while the nation was on stay-at-home orders. match that with being a solo business owner trying to figure this all out (kinda on my own) while raising a family and making sure my mental is right. it can be challenging.

but, im always ready to learn as much as i can through this process and am really thankful that organizations like Nav are supporting small businesses like mine through these times.

their fall 2020 grant would be vital in helping get through the unique challenges caused by , and if selected, I plan to:
* purchase a mounted photo backdrop and lighting system for customers,
* bring on a part time team member so i'm no longer doing it alone,
* ramp up digital marketing to reach as many women content creators as possible,
* invest in a mobile app that streamlines client booking, rewards for rebooking and connects customers with photographers/videographers, and
* save some for a rainy day (or another pandemic)
