I am honored to announce that my mini documentary, “The Man Who Killed Jim Crow,” has been officially selected for the first annual Black Focus Film Festival. On April 16th, 2022, the Black Focus Film Festival will be held at the UAB’s Hill Student Center, in Birmingham, AL.

“The Man Who Killed Jim Crow” is a mini documentary celebrating the life and accomplishments of Charles Hamilton Houston, a prominent African American lawyer, Dean of Howard University Law School, and NAACP first special counsel. Houston is responsible for developing strategies, in nearly every civil rights case, in the all-out legal assault and eventual dismantling of Jim Crow laws in the United States.

Also, I would like to extend a special gratitude of thanks to everyone that was involved in the production of this film, both directly and indirectly, and the Oakwood University Department of Communication.
