Happy Halloween Everyone!!

Tonight is going to be a Trick other than a Treat as an approaching cold front is knocking on our doorstep right now! Rain has already moved into the Shoals and will continue to move Southeast bringing light to heavy rain across North Alabama with one or two rumbles of thunder! Areas on and West of I-65 can expect to see the most rain while areas East won't be expected to see much as the Cold Front begins to weaken. As the cold front pushes through our temperatures will slowly climb down into the low to mid-70s before the overnight time frame, where we will drop into the mid-60s. All in all, we do need as much rain as we can get but be sure to keep a rain jacket or umbrella on hand if you plan on Trick or Treating!

For the ones excited about Halloween, Here is what you might could expect across the North Alabama region!

As Halloween is quickly approaching some of you may have the question, What is it going to be like outside? As of now, your Thursday afternoon will have clouds and sun with a gusty breeze coming from the Southeast, we will potentially be in the lower 80s during the afternoon hours but relatively nice weather is in the forecast for the afternoon. By Thursday Evening the GFS Models are in agreement on a possible Cold Front that might approach the area bringing the chance for rain as you let your Trick or Treaters out the door, much of us may be pretty mild with temperatures in the lower 60s and upper 50s bit with the chance of rain and gusty winds be sure to keep an extra rain jacket or umbrella on hand!

Stay tuned in as the forecast is subject to change!

Our first frost of the fall season is possible tonight going into early tomorrow morning as most of us will see temperatures drop into the upper 30s and lower 40s! It will be very gusty with wind gusts up to 20 - 25 MPH possible tonight this will likely hinder the chance of us seeing frost but it is still possible, the blustery winds will bring our wind chills into the low to mid-30s by early Wednesday morning giving a chilly start to your day Wednesday. Be sure to have a sweater on hand, we will continue tonight with Partly Cloudy skies before we clear out to mostly clear skies by your Wednesday Morning! A slight chance of an isolated shower is possible early this evening. Stay warm and have a wonderful rest of your Tuesday Evening.

The NHC has added a Yellow (20%) chance of Tropical Development within the next 7 days. While the GEFS Ensemble Members Model has an agreement that this might impact the Yucatan Peninsula and not really bother U.S. soil, we will continue to monitor this area in the coming days, If any new information comes in I will be sure to let you know!
