Burritt on the Mountain's new exhibit is open!

Burritt Museum is proud to announce that History Lives On: Preserving Alabama’s Rosenwald Schools will be the Spring 2025 exhibit in the Burritt Mansion. The exhibit is on loan from Auburn University’s College of Architecture, Design and Construction who partnered with the Alabama Department of Archives to study the partnership between Julius Rosenwald and Booker T. Washington and the importance of what these men accomplished. The exhibit also focuses on the local communities and their roles in raising funds to support these educational projects.
It will be on display through May. Don't miss this chance to dive into history!

Blue Oak BBQ started back in 2012 in New Orleans at a live music venue. Two guys, Philip and Ronnie made some slow and low smoked meats - St. Louis-style ribs, Texas-style brisket, Alabama-style pulled pork, smoked chicken wings, and house-made smoked sausage. Before they knew it, they had their own BBQ community that demanded they open their own restaurant. Earlier last year, they brought their world famous recipes to Mid City in Huntsville, where they serve the same great tastes that made their New Orleans location a can’t miss experience!🍽

🗞Blue Oak BBQ has received several awards and are featured in national media from the Today Show to Delish to Thrillist!

Everything we ate was wonderful, but our favorites were the prime beef brisket, pulled pork, and the chili glazed brussels sprouts.🌶

Did you know ✨️EVERY✨️ Wednesday, KIDS EAT FREE?! Yup, that's right! The kids menu features fresh made chicken nuggets, pulled pork, grilled cheese sandwiches, and a smoosh burger, each served with fries (substitutions can be made) and a drink.
