When I was a little boy, I would watch my dad get up early, put on his boots, and get himself ready for a long day of work. His job as a pump operator paid the bills, put food on our table—even allowed us to put a little away for savings.
Some of these soon-to-be welders will be working on the Obama Presidential Center, and each and every one of them is pursuing a career that can help them build a good life for themselves and their families.

Thank you, Chicago Women in Trades, for opening doors for women and girls around the city. I am so proud to see these women lead the way! 💪🏾👷🏽‍♀️
