Film Synopsis:
The monstrous Penguin (Danny DeVito), who lives in the sewers beneath Gotham, joins up with wicked shock-headed businessman Max Shreck (Christopher Walken) to topple the Batman (Michael Keaton) once and for all. But when Shreck’s timid assistant, Selina Kyle (Michelle Pfeiffer), finds out, and Shreck tries to kill her, she is transformed into the sexy Catwoman. She teams up with the Penguin and Shreck to destroy Batman, but sparks fly unexpectedly when she confronts the caped crusader.

Writer/Director Halina Reijn’s latest flick, BABYGIRL, releases Christmas Day at Story Screen Cinema in Hudson, NY! We’ll be open for early afternoon screenings on December 25th, including our premiere of the erotic thriller starring Harris Dickinson and teen heartthrob Nicole Kidman!

We’ll also be serving up some SPIKED HOT COCOA and BOOZY EGGNOG as our drink specials, as well as some delicious HOMEMADE COOKIES for the holidays!

The film follows a high-powered CEO who puts her career and family on the line when she begins a torrid affair with a much younger intern.

One of the greatest horror flicks that formed a whole new genre screens at Story Screen Cinema on Monday, Dec 23rd at 8 PM! It’s BLACK CHRISTMAS!! And if you haven’t seen this movie, there’s no better way than just a couple days before Christmas on the big screen surrounded by a bunch of other pretty awesome folks. And a couple beers from our concession stand wouldn’t hurt either. 😇🍻

As winter break begins, a group of sorority sisters, including Jess (Olivia Hussey) and the often inebriated Barb (Margot Kidder), begin to receive anonymous, lascivious phone calls. Initially, Barb eggs the caller on, but stops when he responds threateningly. Soon, Barb’s friend Clare (Lynne Griffin) goes missing from the sorority house, and a local adolescent girl is murdered, leading the girls to suspect a serial killer is on the loose. But no one realizes just how near the culprit is.

(Fun Fact: Director Bob Clark would go on to direct another Christmas classic just 10 years later, with A CHRISTMAS STORY!! That’s a wild piece of information once you’ve seen both those movies.)

Ring in the New Year with your favorite little critters! GREMLINS 2: THE NEW BATCH screens Sunday Dec 29th at 4 PM at Story Screen Cinema in Hudson, NY! We had a blast screening the original GREMLINS as part of our October lineup (yes, we know it’s a Christmas movie!) and you all asked for a screening of the second installment, which just might be one of the wildest everything plus the kitchen sink sequels of all time. It’s a blast to watch on the big screen!

The magical collectibles store that Gizmo calls home has just been destroyed, and the tiny monster finds his way into a newly erected skyscraper. Billy Peltzer (Zach Galligan) and his bride-to-be, Kate (Phoebe Cates), who have previously dealt with Gremlins run amok, discover that Gizmo and an impish legion of reptilian pals are inhabiting the downtown building. The couple tries to stop the creatures from escaping into New York City, but this new batch of beasts might be uncontrollable.

OUR NEXT PINBALL TOURNAMENT IS DEC 14TH!

Come play pinball at the cinema for our “strikes” tournament at Story Screen Cinema in Hudson, NY - ALL are welcome for our open, IFPA-sanctioned competitive pinball event.

New to pinball? Beginners are strongly encouraged to attend! We have ten (10) machines, some of which are incredibly rare tables from Sunshine Laundromat in NYC.

Strikes is a knockout format where players are randomly assigned to either 3 or 4 player groups. In a 4-player group, 3rd/4th place receive a strike. In a 3-player group, 3rd place receives a strike. Players will have either 4 or 3 strikes, depending on turnout/overall player count. We play until 1 player remains!

Story Screen Cinema features draft beers and plenty of food.
