Happy Mother's Day to all of our soccer moms that coach, referee, making sure that your player makes it to practices and games, and cheers for your player through snowy, rainy, windy, and hot sunny days! We hope you are well taken care of and appreciated today!
Good Afternoon AYSO Friends and Families,
With today's rain I thought it would be a good time to cover our weather policy for practices and games. Please see our policy below.
Practices:
-Unless field conditions become hazardous, the cancellation of practice will be up to each team's coach.
-If field conditions become hazardous, the region will make the call to cancel practices. We will notify parents/volunteers by 4-5pm via email and text.
-If practices are interrupted by thunder and/or lightening, ALL persons must be off the field, seeking shelter in their vehicle. Parents, please make sure you are at or close to the fields if the forecast looks sketchy.
Games:
-Games are canceled by the RC and we do our best to cancel with as much notice as we can.
-If games are interrupted by thunder and/or lightening, ALL persons must be off the field, seeking shelter in their vehicle. For the game to resume, we have to be 30 minutes without thunder or lightening.
-Each region's RC is responsible for canceling games. If you are traveling, the RC of the game location will make the call and notify the other RC's. We will then notify coaches, who will then notify their parents.
If a coach opts to cancel their practice, they will communicate accordingly to let you know. If you have any other questions, please let me know.
