Easily Distracted Designs is owned by former Emmy-winning television producer Bethany Sefchick and is located in the mountains of Central Pennsylvania. We are a small operation (of one and occasionally two) that takes pride in the unique and often whimsical nature of our designs. Each piece of jewelry is lovingly hand crafted from the highest quality materials, including Swarovski crystals, Czech

glass, both natural and cultured semi-precious stones, pearls and plated metal materials. The majority of the pieces we offer are one-of-a-kind designs that cannot be replicated due to the unique and often quirky nature of the components. In keeping with the hand-crafted nature of our designs, each piece we create receives its own unique name and becomes part of a distinct collection. Unlike some jewelry designers, we do not offer “filler” pieces made overseas and purchased in bulk to fill out a display. Instead, we hand select all of our materials and purchase them from a variety of different vendors around the country, including small bead shops, mineral specialty shops, and global distributors at trade shows. Easily Distracted Designs also offers additional services, including commission works for bridal showers, weddings and other special events, as well as occasional purchases of estate costume jewelry.

I know it's been awhile, but I've recently completed some new pieces. These aren't for sale BUT I will have more new things coming, particularly in the Steampunk genre. ALSO! Look for me this fall at the 7th annual Frailey's Fall Festival on September 17th, 2022 on the Ginter Morann Highway in Smithmill, PA! I will have all new collections ready to go!

New on the bead board yesterday...

This piece features a Czech glass hibiscus flower accented by other Czech glass beads and Bali copper.

I hope to get back to mounting the rest of my loose semi-precious stones soon. Just need to make sure my hands are steady enough! 🙃

New and now available at Thieves Market in Philipsburg, PA! The heart earrings are made with some of the last Swarovski crystals available for the DIY market and are finished in either 14K gold plate or Sterling Silver plate. The Claddagh earrings are finished in the same materials and the charms themselves are Tierracast pewter. These are the last of the materials I have to make these, so if you're interested, stop by and see Brandi!

I haven't done holiday earrings in a long time but this year? I'm making an exception. These are the last of my Swarovski crystal hearts, as Swarovski is getting out of the DIY game. Available in Deep Emerald, Lilac, and Indian Pink, these heart earrings, along with four pairs of Irish/St. Patrick's Day influenced earrings will be available at Thieves Market late next week.

First, I want to thank everyone who came out to the Stocking Stuffer event a few weeks ago. I know that I've been quiet as of late. The passing of a parent often affects us more deeply than we realize. However, I plan to do better in 2022 and hope to pick up another craft show or two to replace those I've lost.

In the meantime, these local (to me) map pendants we be delivered to Thieves Market in Philipsburg on Wednesday, December 22nd.

Also, look for the reopening of my Etsy store in early 2022!

Happy Veterans Day to all vets, including my dad. He served in the US Air Force and was stationed in England during the Cuban Missile Crisis. This past summer was the first time I ever heard him talk about what that was like, and I'm honored that I finally had the chance to learn more about that previously unknown part of his life.

It's been awhile, I know, but online bead stores are finally getting new stock and I was finally able to get to an in-person show to buy some new things! I buy in person when I can to bring you the best and highest quality gemstones, semi-precious stones and artistian creations. This isn't "made in China" stuff. It's hand-selected and often hand-made pieces that I use to create in my own studio.
