ARTIST STATEMENT

Artistry is my emotional release, it takes me far, far away where I can feel at home again. Having witnessed countless tragic events, having emphatically felt their sorrow; it broke my mind, altered my soul, and shatter my heart. I found only the creative process brings me balance and the finished works keep my outlook on life positive.

Art is beauty that only few can see, wonderfully relating to the un-relatable. It gives the ill a feeling of health, the casted out a feeling of being welcomed, and the lost a feeling of being found. As if the feeling like a broken person translated to being unique, special, or one of a kind.

Connecting with artwork causes the chaos inside my mind to be beautifully broken and the silence comforts the heart. The creative process gives my soul a new perspective, able to understand and see the relentless pursuit of life by death as a love story told by time. Through it all I found that the same way death fell in love with life, I fell in love with Art.

Allow Me to Explain: Currently creating in/practicing several forms of artistly, including but not limited to: Acrylic paints/mediums, spray paints, resins, watercolor, concrete/fiberglass/foam sculpting mediums, photography/videography/editing, acting/hosting, web/interior design, and percussion instruments.

To be successful as an artist people have to know who you are, as well as the type of work you produce. Finding your target market is no easy task, in my search I have taken on several roles within the last year, including but not limited to: Coordinating, directing, promoting, marketing, curating, networking, and/or representing in up to 4 events a day/ 12 events a week.

I currently have 3 mentors I lean to for assistance and a network of artists providing an array of services. Together we are creating "The And Art Network" where we are establishing a platform for inspiring and professional artists to collaborate, learn, and grow. My goal is change the direction in which our culture is heading by deminstaing positive human interactions by way of the creative process.
