Three thrilling playoff games at NRG Stadium showcased the best of Texas high school football as North Shore, Summer Creek, and Iowa Colony each earned victories. In the first game, North Shore defeated Katy 42-28, with quarterback Kaleb Bailey leading the Mustangs’ offense by throwing for 281 yards and five touchdowns. D’Andre Hardeman Jr. added 104 rushing yards, helping North Shore keep their quest for a fourth straight state title appearance alive. Later in the day, Summer Creek cruised to a 54-20 victory over Jordan, capitalizing on the Warriors’ mistakes to advance. Quarterback Blake Thomas led the Bulldogs’ high-powered offense in the win. Finally, Iowa Colony made history with a 31-21 win over Fort Bend Marshall, advancing to their first-ever regional final. Sophomore quarterback Carson White was instrumental, rushing for 125 yards and two touchdowns while also throwing for 101 yards and a touchdown. The Pioneers’ defense also played a key role, forcing turnovers to seal the victory.
