I’m so sad about this. I just found out that the home of 90.1 FM KPFT Houston was bulldozed today. 😩 I remember when I joined Nuestra Palabra: Latino Writers Having Their Say to co-host and co-produce the radio show in 2003 and then later produced and hosted my own radio show Leztopia Radio in 2013. 😭 Lots of great memories. And I remember when a brick was thrown at me through the window by racists while running the boards. That brick was later piled onto the transformer that the K*K blew up in the ‘70s. Even haters couldn’t stop this community radio station.
