Non-Profits Supporting Each Other: January is Human Trafficking Awareness Month and as you know this is cause that’s very near and dear to our heart with our MAKR Collective workforce development program for survivors of trauma that includes survivors of human trafficking and domestic violence. A Couture Wrap To A Year For People & Planet: As we close out 2024, it’s only fitting that we showcase the video of After Dark (AD24) our annual fundraiser and runway collection and we would like to extend a warm + loving THANK YOU to all who supported us! 2024 has been one amazing sustainable fashion ride as we made the big move to our new space and launched our M&Ps x Southwest Airlines x Hobby Airport Exhibit! People: graduated and employed a new participant of our MAKR Collective workforce program while also rehiring an alumni and some amazing interns; Partnered with our friends at @lauraudesigncollective to create upcycled toiletry bags stuffed with essentials for The Women’s Home. Planet: Diverted another 26 tons of waste textiles from landfill and added to our 15,000 up-cycled products! We were humbled to work with amazing brands such as @maisonperrierusa, @crownroyal, Houston Rockets x @marsculture_ and The James Beard Foundation, showcasing how Fashion can be a Force for Good, while growing our partnerships with @buildanest, @southwestair, #Houston First, @bristowgroup_inc, @pncbank and @gulfcoastgrowthventures. We Took A Trip Southwest: The past few days have been absolutely wonderful during SXSW for the official U.S. launch of @perrier newest sparkling 💦 @maisonperrierglobal as we partnered with them for three days of awesome activations. Maison Perrier x Magpies & Peacocks festivities kicked off March 7th with an exclusive VIP Media | Influencer HH at the historic house on the French Legation property. It’s the first and only time an event of this type was held at this historically registered house. Attendees sipped on the delicious Maison Perrier and champagne, enjoyed bites from a French catering company and grooved to the sounds of @djcassandra_ all while enjoying the preview fashion presentation of our upcycled luxe looks that would walk the runway on the 8th & 9th. Because the house is a “flats only” type of vibe, all of our invited guest received a pair of either Adidas Sambas or Gazelle sneakers to wear that night at the event collected and curated by M&Ps 🥰.
