The topics discussed focused on increasing the participation of college students during voting elections and creating an environment for their political voices to be voiced and heard.

Waller County Commissioner, Kendric D. Jones acknowledged the importance and significant impact of young voters.

Breaking News:

Texas Southern University’s very own KTSU, and The Vibe Houston is partnering with NAACP Houston Branch for the presidential debate watch party.

The event will take place at the Ensemble Theatre. For TSU students who are interested in attending, buses will depart behind the Sterling Student Center at 5:45, and 6:15pm. The buses will also return students after the debate is over.

Texas Southern University squared off against Prairie View A & M University at Blackshear Stadium for their annual Labor Day Classic on August 31st. TSU finished on top with a final score of 27-9. This was TSU’s first win against PV since 2014.

Prairie View A&M University hosted the Labor Day Classic Battle of the Chefs on August 28. Chefs Julian Cleare (TSU) and Devin Smith (PV) competed in three rounds. Smith finished on top, scoring over 700 points.

The TSU Tigers and Prairie View Panthers are set to face off in their annual Labor Day Classic football game on August 31 at 6 p.m. at Blackshear Stadium in Prairie View, Texas.
