Had a wonderful time and met the two dopest podcast host at the Houston Meet and Greet. that’s doing great work in the community. To watch them grow from barber shop talk to grown intentional men has been beautiful. They are down to earth and cool in person as they are on the show. Can’t wait to have game night with my new deck of Hardly in Love Cards door prize for being the 1st person in the building 🥰

Anyone that know my education story know that when I started in 2013. That if I didn’t have a backbone they would have ran me out. I was constantly discouraged and even flat out told I didn’t know what I was doing plus I’m not a fit for the students. Little did the enemy know that I’d become one of the most loved, respected, and impactful educators to grace the halls at SHS.

Help me educate the next generation of up and coming chefs and food service culinarians. Let’s make history by offering and starting the first CTE Culinary Scholarship in Spring ISD to mark 10 yrs in culinary education. All proceeds go to
Chef LaToya Larkin scholarship.

Mindset Monday: Set that pride aside and get a mentor. Especially someone WINNING that’s doing what you’re doing…lean in for the secret “winners want to see other people win and only want to be around winners”

Been there done that old heads you can learn and stay sharp with a younger mentor. Though I teach kids and old enough to be their mother. I learn so much from them to stay current. 360 learning they learn from me like I learn from them.

Heeeyyy Mrs. Carter thank you for a wonderful afternoon and showing Black Girl Tamales, LLC and other fellow entrepreneurs so much love. Didn’t get the grant, but got another potential retailer placement partnership, free minority certification, guaranteed funding approval, and other guaranteed acceptance into programs.

Girl you did that and literally sent us home with the $1M of resources to next level and scale our brands. Proud to be apart yet another powerhouse network and become an ambassador for the BeyGood Network.

It’s 🔥 to know whatever we apply for within our Million Dollar Bag we approved with other grant opportunities available just because we’ve committed to BeyGood.

I was really feeling some kinda way about not being in Atlanta this weekend as this was planned for months with my Women Empowerment Collective. However, Dallas Texas is where I’m supposed to be of course the obvious me retrieving my laptop. Once we made it in got a invite to attend this Women Empowerment event in Dallas last night from my fellow classmate and SETX culinarian .We’ve both came a long way 23 yrs in the game from the Art Institute of Houston. So much love for this chef and admiration to see someone who started from the bottom 2000-2002 and looks like me dominating and killing the game. Not too Hollywood and all she still humble and chop it up when we cross paths. Amazing exciting connects to touch bases with all the lovely ladies I networked with. Even more blessed she extended the invite for us to dine at her restaurant and we’ll be her VIP guest to get squeezed in from an already booked solid out reservation.
