Showers will overspread western portions of the area late today, with more widespread showers (and a few thunderstorms) expected tonight. Lingering showers and perhaps a storm or two are possible on Wednesday before much cooler air moves in Wednesday night. Rainfall amounts will only average 0.10-0.25" across the area.

Mostly clear and cold tonight with lows in the 20s to near 30 inland, and in the 30s along the coast. Increasing clouds tomorrow, especially in the afternoon. Some evening showers possible, mainly north of Richmond and over the Lower Eastern Shore. Highs 50-60° (coolest north, warmest SE)

A Fire Weather Watch has been issued across the majority of the area for Sunday afternoon. Low RH values of 20-25% and breezy conditions with gusts to 30-40 mph will lead to increased fire danger. Take caution when engaging in activities that involve fire, such as burning yard debris, having campfires or using fire pits.
