There’s something profoundly peaceful about being in the woods, spot and stalk hunting for whitetail deer in central Arkansas. The quiet moments of observation, the thrill of the chase, and the lessons learned from these incredible animals make the experience unforgettable. I recently had the encounter of a lifetime, getting busted by the biggest buck I’ve seen since moving here. While success eluded me this time, the journey is its own reward. I’ll be back out there soon, ready for whatever the woods have to teach me next

Catch of the Week! .yev reeled in this absolute beast of a steelhead! She called it her “needle in a haystack” fish she probably won’t be topping anytime soon. This massive steelhead was brought in on her Saga 9 wt Spey rod, proving both her skill and patience. Here’s to the unforgettable catches that keep us coming back for more!

That trip wasn’t just about the catch—it was about time slowing down, paddles cutting through still waters, and memories made in nature’s embrace. October calls again.
