First night of Mutants of the Monster in Little Rock was wonderful.

Crankbait opened and brought a crushing, brutal set which I, unfortunately, did not catch any video of.

Hexxus came in from Alabama and, in spite of having to put their set on pause for about 15 minutes while a power issue was fixed, delivered a joyful sonic assault.

Adam Faucet and the Spectral Class provided a gorgeous palate cleanser amongst the night's bone crushing meal.

Then Rwake played and just blew me out of the water. I hadn't had a chance to see them live in about 20 years but they came with as much presence and power as ever, if not more so. Even got me peripherally involved in my first mosh pit in probably a decade. Cleansing and cathartic.
