GEMS has built an outstanding reputation by providing vital services to the communities and venues we support. We built a strong team dedicated to best-practices in Pre-Hoaspital Care and Wilderness Medicine Training. GEMS also privides BLS support for Reality TV Shows Nation Wide.

GEMS seeks to produce the highest quality EMT’s. Our highly selective programs are designed to prepare the student for success both for the National Registry of EMTs (NREMT) and in the field of EMS in general. We are certified by the State of Alaska Department of Health and Social Services to offer EMT classes and we are an authorized American Red Cross Training Center.

On-Site Camping: On-site Camping is available at the GEMS camping area free of charge. The City of Hoonah provides Harbor-Showers with washer/dryers, located only 3 min. drive, 1.0 mile from the camping area. www.cityofhoonah.org

Meals: All meals are the students' responsibility.

Clothing: We will be spending a lot of time outdoors and we hope that you will want to enjoy some of the exciting outdoor activities here in Hoonah when you are not in class. Hunting, fishing, wild life adventures, kayaking, bear tours, sightseeing and more. So be ready! The course will be held rain or shine, so participants should bring raingear and warmer layers to account for unexpected cold or precipitation.
