2020 Cultural Animation Film Festival
The fourth annual Cultural Animation Film Festival returns September 25–28, with films designed to showcase unique animated films based on our diverse cultures. The festival is online this year, and free for everyone—see amazing shorts and hear from filmmakers around the world. Explore the full program in the links below. Films will be available to watch beginning on the designated showtime and ending on Wednesday, September 30.

The Academy for Creative Media System and UH West O‘ahu – Academy for Creative Media is hosting Dan Lin, producer of films such as The Lego Movie, It, and Sherlock Holmes as part of a Creative Media Master Class Series on Friday, September 18, from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. via Zoom.

The Masters Series is part of UH West Oʻahu’s Creative Media program and aims to increase student understanding of the art and business of content creation. These presentations are free and open to students, faculty, and staff of the University of Hawai‘i.

ACM Animation and ICS students are in the news!! Congratulations to the 62 students whose work was work was accepted in SIGGRAPH'S Faculty Submitted Student Work Exhibit. SIGGRAPH is one of the largest and most prestigious annual conferences for computer graphics in the world! Their work will be showcased thoughout the 2020 SIGGRAPH virtual conference, which runs from August 17-28, 2020.
