The goal was to see how much I could simplify my komodo rig for run&gun setup. Stripped off everything I don’t “need”. So 2 things, yes I could not use a phone as a monitor and use the top lcd screen. But for me, a monitor is a need. The other thing is that I could’ve just gone with bp batteries but coreswx adaptor offers a usb port so I can charge my phone at the same time.

Crazy how much Anamorphic lenses having been coming out! And affordable too. This on by is a T2.9 35mm and covers FF. And it’s so tiny! Smaller than iPhone. Mind blown. Can’t wait to test it out.

I’ve owned several monitors over the years. But no more than 2 at a time 😂 One of the biggest gripes I had on the 5” monitors were the outputs/ports were that a lot of them came with them on the side. Didn’t look clean but it I could live with it. When announce their new Smart5 monitors that’s the first thing I noticed was that all the ports were located on the bottom. The 2nd thing was a monitor that was brighter than 1000nits. This is 2000nits and the perfect brightness for the Hawaiian sun out here. And lastly, a 2pin lemo for power is such a nice bonus. She thicc & she fine.

Been shooting a lot with .lighting new F22x. It’s a 200W Led flex mat. Folds down nicely into a great carrying case. Powering it at 100% with a 26v battery is nice for those remote areas like here where we were outside with no outlets. Sidus Link app is amazing and use it all the time :)

Finally got around to test my new @slrmagic 35mm T1.3 cine lens. Was on a layover in NYC and didn't have any ND's on me so took it out for a spin at night. My thoughts ; It’s sharp. Didn't notice any color fringing or chromatic aberration. Shot in 4K @ 24fps & 1080 @ 60fps. PP Cine 4 & ISO 200-300. Me likey!
