Excited for nap time 😴 Early morning with beautiful Unity of Grand Valley sharing music and message then off to healing, music-filled service at 🎶💖🎶

The band and choir helped everyone (including me) emote all our feelings through Kirk Franklin's He's Able to my sweet friends' songs Love is My Decision and I Choose Love & plus ending with Put Little Love in Your Heart!

Yknow when the notes on the paper and the lyrics in the bulletin actually come alive and this organic, impromtu thing happens when each musician & singer playing their unique part, creating magic in the moment together?!!! Yes that's what happened!

As you can see with the song choices, the theme, the ongoing answer to everything - L ❤️ V E! To see it, to intend it, to authentically feel it, to BE IT! No matter what's happening "out there," we can always choose it "in here."

It's a time for ohana, community and loving through our differences. A time to soften our edges, move thru the gift of contrast, lighten the burdens within. and be relentless in our commitment to live the transcendent love we seek. It's a time to breathe, get quiet, and find deep gratitude in this life we are blessed to live.

Our egos are being tested and humbled and yet that divine spark in us, that eternal breath and untouchable soul still has the capacity to sing, dance, revel in an even more beautiful world being birthed through this very moment.

This is when you know church is good fun.... the band doesn't want to end the song, even when I ended it once already lol and this is the postlude but people, including the musicians, just want to stay for the sheer joy of it!

It's happened a few more times since I've started at Calvary by the Sea Lutheran Church. Last time we ended with Born this Way on Pride day, I had to go back a couple times and keep singing 'cause everyone kept singing and dancing along.

So blessed to cocreate moments like this with a beautifiul community 😍

ps the sweet mom in the video says she can see energy and that there's always this pure white light emanating from the band, from our hearts out to the church ✨️ I loved hearing this!

Sending big aloha from Unity Southwest conference 🤙🌈🌺💖 So inspiring to be with Revs & LUTs from the region and our mighty, heart-centeted leaders of the movement that flew in to share their expanded vision for Unity! Great things are happening 😍

I even got to share some Hawaiian spiritual practices, chant & prayer along with my songs. Plus just led a spirit-filled, high-energy dance with the divine tonight💃 I love seeing people break loose, give into the music and just have fun with it!!!

So grateful to be here with such a high-vibing community ✨️

What a blast to perform with these talented musicians led by who can also sing their booties off at 😍 Seriously so thankful to vibe with them, to take my original song Lighthouse (that goes from moody to edm to rap on the recording) and has never been performed live, and create our own heartfelt acoustic version in the moment plus perform 4 more of my songs together!

During the rehearsal, a man listening said "great song but you've gotto kill the composer" LOL I guess because he saw us spending all this time finessing all the dynamics and changes in the song in our short 40min rehearsal. I said, then you'd have kill me! 😜 I loved his shocked, you-wrote- that?!!! look

Totally a gift to be in front of a warm, welcoming excited new thought group that knows all my songs and couldn't wait to hear more, and sing and dance more with me too. Plus to take in the magical message from - it was the best morning!

Ended my day with a hike, sushi, and whirlpool bath soak...ahhh! I miss my family for sure. Izzy's called multiple times a day. And yet, momma is definitely enjoying this me time as an artist, sharing my other non-cooking/non-cleaning skills, doing what makes my heart go zing ✨️🎉💖🎉✨️

The theme of my first 2 days in LA, sweetest of friends in foggiest of weather LOL

Maybe sunshine will breakthrough tomorrow but no matter, gonna heat things up 🎶🔥😁 at 10am PT then all week at Unity SW conference!

Also thinking of my Kai (after seeing his boat!) who had his 1st basketball game today, then my Izzy who performed a snippet of Seussical at her school fair also today plus band and choir bringing beautiful music tomorrow back home💖 Happy to cheer everyone on as I go do my thing! It's been a minute - so excited nervous 😜🌈✨️😍

Happy Anniversary to my sweet hubby 💖 Who knew decades ago when we went on our first date that it was the last 1 date, last 1st kiss 💋

What's our seeming secret?! Honestly it's the trust and freedom we give each other to grow, to try new things, to fail then try again, to continue evolving and shift & tweak to meet each other again and again in the heart. Definitely takes active participation, keeping your ego in check & conscious effort, and so so very worth it ✨️

We're to share a love that overflows to friends & fam like you! And yes, we keep working it every day amidst the hustle and shuffle of kids, their extracurriculars, and our own work, passions and projects.

So happy we've made time already to go on 3 mini-dates but we'll have to party more later when I get back. I'm actually leaving on our anniversary to go perform in LA. So that's kinda, my anniversary gift, a week off from mommy-duties LOL & seriously, hallelujah 😁 Thanks honey bunny 🐰

Every day I ask the kids "What kind of day are you gonna have?" Just so they can start practicing this idea of pre-paving their day with intention. You can't control all that happens in life but with practice, you can control how you show up and how you want to feel. It's not fool-proof of course but it definitely helps to keep pointing your ship towards happier destinations 😍
