So proud of #7 - that's my Kai!  He was disappointed that though he has skills to be an outside hitter for his newly formed school's volleyball team, his coach said because of his height, he had to stay in the back row digging up those slams. They played "up" this 1st tournament for their intermediate boys team, so it was against JV highschool teams on an 8ft net, so understably, at 5'2" he was a bit short.

He was bummed of course, doubting his ability to play with these national all-stars on his team, but we worked through it - reminding him to focus on his stronger skills & to feed off the inspiration of his brilliant, tall teammates to keep getting better & better himself.

As the weekend unfolded, Kai was actually needed from time to time to be up front hitting on this tall net.  And by today at the playoffs, he was hitting the entire game!  My lil' shrimp springing up up up to get the ball over time & again and even getting some partial blocks & points!

They ended up winning 2nd place overall. Pretty good for 7th & 8th graders going up against highschool teams and mostly, it taught Kai about unexpected possibilities and opportunities available to us if you can focus on the positive aspects.

This mirrored my own recent experience of disappointment with some changes in my music job.  My ego be trippin', doubting myself but thank God for my practice, my work to shift my consciousness, I know things are always working out & I'm being led to the next perfect thing for me!  And honestly, I've been noticing more & more, if the energy/frequency doesn't match up between certain people and circumstances, you'll be propelled to whatever direction is more of a match.

So I'm excited to let it all continue unfolding, to trust in me, trust in the universe, to be that lil' shrimp jumping up at my dreams no matter what!  Kai's definitely my teacher & inspiration in this valuable lesson.  

So even if that net feels high, my friendzies, keep jumping! Find the joy and laugh in your jumping & trying!  You're a bad-ass just for having those dreams and reaching for something better

Gratefully full day back home! So nice to jump right into ✨️ 🎶✨️ fun with video shoot for our Tiny Desk submission! Totally a team effort with our awesome band and intern.

Unpacking from my retreat gig is happily postponed til further notice LOL since I ended the day with my sweet fam at the Punahou carnival 🎡, Kai & Izzy's fav 😍

🌈 Happy Aloha Fri-yay from the cliffs of Kapaau!  Saw some whale tales and splashes... can't believe the week flew by!

Some takeaways...

✨️Love remains that superpower above all else to transform those challenges and blocks into "medicine" and inspiration for others

✨️Communicating with animals is a real thing! Animal communicator,  Karen Anderson's session was mind-blowing, heart-melting and I had my own "talk" with a yellow wasp in my yurt LOL

✨️Being in nature  (under a blanket of stars each night,  the sounds of birds & other unknown creatures in the wild LOL, the crash of the waves below the cliffs, feet on the grass,  walking thru the trees and spider webs haha....) is all truly healing and restorative.  The earth literally gives off good vibes (aka Schumann resonance) and lifts our frequency!

✨️ Our greatest impact is living that love,  light,  peace,  joy,  brilliance - letting our presence and beingness do the work!

Off to support at my 1st Course in Miracles retreat ✨️🎶✨️. Unlike my fav artist friends, I don't know all of my songs by heart LOL but it has meant days of pulling music (my own and my friends songs), rehearsing, singing and being with these songs and their messages.

As I began to sing song after song about the brilliance, divinity within, the power of our love and focus to co-create something new in every moment, the opportunity to heal, to deepen, to be more than we think is even possible...it just feels like these songs were made for this moment now, for all that we are tasked to be and do at this time 💖

So please look, listen, learn, be transformed by songs, art, messages pointing the way to transcend all that might weigh you down and rise into to an upleveled space where the NEW that so badly wants to happen, can emerge!

So grateful for my hubby taking care of my lil loves so I can serve in this way! Their sunny vibes definitely fuel the aloha I share thru the music.

It felt especially meaningful this past Sunday to wear Pride shirts, get our rainbows 🌈 on, celebrate inclusivity of all the beautiful, different kinds of people and just be in the love and aloha of a welcoming community committed to being the change! Izzy and another young singer joined me on my song Together 💖 🎶💖. It's our family's anthem for these times to remind us that our job is more important than ever - to boldly dream, plant and bring to life the most loving world possible right where we are! Who's radical, crazy enough to know this is possible too?!!!
