Last month we made our annual trip to the Folk Alliance International Conference in Kansas City. I always look forward to this gathering and enjoyed reconnecting with old friends, discovering new artists, and recording interviews and performances for our “Words & Music” features. Just got back from our annual trip to the Folk Alliance International conference. I’m always blown away by this gathering and the wonderful folks who attend. We recorded performances and interviews with Suzie Vinnick, Grace Pettis, Viv & Riley, The Clements Brothers, and Ava Earl. We got to reconnect with the FolkDJ community, meet lots of new friends at the “Meet The FolkDJs” gathering, and of course see lots of amazing showcases every night. I’m already dreaming about next year’s event in Montreal. See you there!

Last week I was In Kansas City for the annual Folk Alliance International Conference. It was really great to re-connect with old friends and make lots of new ones. As usual, I was overwhelmed with the sheer number of showcases (almost 2,000) and the abundance of talent. I was also very fortunate to tape segments for the program with Humbird, The Barefoot Movement, The Small Glories, and Annie Bartholomew.
