Great news-Jackie Wilson just got a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame!
We helped put together a 50 song compilation of his songs to commemorate this event. Transferred from the original analog masters, the release is called "The Definitive Jackie Wilson" on Brunswick Records.

Spent the last week restoring and transferring/mixing Jackie Wilson masters for the Brunswick label. These masters were recorded at Bell Sound in the mid-1960's and they still sound incredible. Long Live Analog !

Does anyone remember linear digital editing before Digital Audio Workstations? Here I am using the Sony DAE-1100 editor at the old Polygram Studios in Edison. It edited audio using two 3/4" video decks. Before that we used a razor blade with analog tape !

Found this picture of me in Studio 2 at Western Studios (1978) at the Harrison console. Those 1176s were great for taming pesky guitar and vocal dynamics.

Found this old pix of me from the 70's getting on a canal boat in Amsterdam. We were on tour with the Beach Boys-32 shows in Germany, Belgium, Luxembourg, England and Holland. Shavers had not been invented yet (LOL).

Just received a copy of my friend's new album release from France. Jimmer's music is great-I transferred all his analog masters to digital at the Music Lab.
