United Nations Day marks the entry into force in 1945 of the United Nations Charter. On October 31, 1947, the UN General Assembly declared that the Day would be devoted to raising awareness of the goals and achievements of the Organization and gaining support for its work, including the Universal Declaration of Human Rights.

With its 30 articles, the UDHR serves as a constant reminder that human rights are universal, indivisible, and essential for a just and harmonious global community.
