We know that challenge we face do NOT have to define the lives we live, and the struggles we overcome can be our greatest strengths. We hope this film inspires you the way the stories we wanted to bring to screen inspired us.

Here is a short excerpt from CG breakdown's work for our short film Happy Valentine's Day. The interesting thing behind this shot is that we had to be creative due to the limited space we had for the actor to “fall”. We also re-created roses in CG because we wanted to have full control of their placement in the shot - which you can’t achieve in real life!

Some 'inside' info on using Jibs: consider the amount of time and space you have! It takes a hot second to build, sometimes over an hour...(depending on the type and brand) and a similar amount of time to wrap it. It also takes up a lot of space and you need someone who knows how to manage it! Usually two to three people work it. But they are HELLA FUN and the end results look freaking cool! You'll see.

Bastille Day is the French national holiday which marks the beginning of republican democracy and the end of the monarchy. On July 14, 1789, an angry crowd broke into the Bastille Fortress in Paris, which held stockpiles and weapons as well as political prisoners. The invasion was significant at the time as it proved that the King had little control over his armed forces and it undermined his power. It was the beginning of what later became known as the French Revolution. So each year, on July 14, France celebrates to remember those who fought for freedom and justice.
