Jerry Lewis on Being a Person traces the character of this aptly famous personality primarily through a depiction of the philosophy with which Jerry lived his life, ran his productions, and related with his lifelong friends. Humorous, as one might imagine anything associated with Jerry would be, it is also poignant, especially regarding the personalities he knew through his beloved Telethons for the Muscular Dystrophy Association. Jerry loved people, and they loved him back.

The $19.26 price of the book honors Jerry's birth year of 1926.

Today is the anniversary of the publication of In Oceans Deep by Eduardo J. Echeverria. Written from the perspective of a grandfather who suffered the death of a beloved granddaughter. This small book addresses the author's questions: What reasons does he have for trusting God’s love, goodness, and providence—even when prayers go unanswered? Why does he grieve, but not without hope? Is perplexed, but not in despair? Why is he justified in trusting the Word of God as a reliable source of knowledge?

According to the author, evangelization isn’t about winning the argument; it is about winning hearts. This book is unique; it focuses not on the spread of Christianity but on the methods of conversion.

This month we celebrate the life of Rutilio Grande García, a Jesuit priest in El Salvador. On March 12, 1977, Rutilio Grande was assassinated by Salvadoran security forces, just outside his hometown, suffering martyrdom for the people he served and loved.

He was a close friend of Salvadorian Archbishop Óscar Romero who boldly urged the military junta to investigate the murder. His beatification, through his status as a martyr, was approved by Pope Francis in 2020.

LISTEN: "I am the Bread of Life" sung at Rutilio Grande's beatification by Sister Suzanne Toolan of the Sisters of Mercy.

Every year, World Peace and Understanding Day is observed on February 23. The day is dedicated to humanitarian service, peace, and goodwill at home and across the world. It is observed to remind people of the ways that they can bring peace, harmony and goodwill to the world and make a positive contribution.

Romero & Grande, Companions on the Journey, commemorates two friends martyred for speaking up for the poor and vulnerable in Latin America. Their inspiring story can inspire us all to imitate the everyday holiness of the saints. Learn more. https://www.lectiopublishing.com/books.php?b=9

February 2024 marks the 2nd anniversary of the publication of a "revolutionary" book -- a sociological and historical perspective of the 3 Sexual Revolutions of modern times from the Catholic, Protestant, and Atheist points of view. Covering topics like transgenderism, abortion, and no-fault divorce, the author suggests that we in the USA may be much worse off now than it might have been. https://www.lectiopublishing.com/living_catholic_books.php
