George Nuku, a Māori artist, turns ocean plastics into a statement of environmental kinship. He shows a perspective of not leaving the land to heal wounds man created, but instead utilizing plastic to spread the message of aloha ‘āina.

2024's Big Island Arts Summit will be held on October 19, 2024, from 8:30 am to 7:00 pm, at ​​NELHA Mauka Research Campus Building, 73-188 Makako Bay Dr, Kailua Kona.
