The City of Jonesville has a new logo! The City Council adopted the new city logo featuring the tagline “The Real Deal” at a recent meeting. The logo was designed by Navigant Media. The tagline calls on Jonesville’s history as the home of the Deal Automobile. CIty Manager Jeff Gray said the modern design “reflects Jonesville’s progressive spirit,” while the incorporation of the Deal tagline shows the city is “firmly rooted in its history."...

The Hillsdale City Council voted Monday, to grant an extension of a tax abatement for the Keefer House Hotel project. The Obsolete Properties Rehabilitation, or OPRA, exemption was originally approved in 2019, with a completion deadline of December 31st, 2021. Work was initially slowed by the COVID-19 pandemic and unforeseen structural factors. The project, on North Howell Street, had already received a handful of extensions, including one that moved the deadline to December 31st of this year....
