Steve Jordan (musical director, producer, songwriter, and drummer) is celebrating his 68 birthday today.

During the 1970s and 1980s, he was a member of the bands for the television shows Saturday Night Live and Late Night with David Letterman.

In the early 1980s, Jordan was a member of the band "Eye Witness", along with Anthony Jackson on bass, and Manolo Badrena on percussion. Since the mid 1980s, Jordan has also been a member of the X-Pensive Winos, the side project of Rolling Stones guitarist Keith Richards. Jordan and Richards have been production and songwriting partners on many of Richards's solo works. In 2005, he became a member of the John Mayer Trio. Jordan also formed the band "The Verbs", which he fronts, with his wife Meegan Voss.

In August 2021, Jordan replaced Rolling Stones drummer Charlie Watts during their No Filter tour. This photo by Craig Erickson (Mr. Chairman) was taken during the 2nd night of that tour at SoFi Stadium.

Happy Birthday Steve!!!

When the new record charts came out on Jan. 14, 1978, Fleetwood Mac's "Rumours" album was the number one LP in the US. It was their 31st week at #1. It had been #1 for 29 non-conseutive week in 1977 and held the #1 one spot for the first two weeks of 1978.

The reason we mention this is because the following week, 'Rumours' was knocked out of the top spot by the soundtrack from the motion picture "Saturday Night Fever". Disco would be the new king of the charts.

And your favorite song on "Rumours" was?

Jeffrey Phillip Wielandt turns 58 years old today. You will know him better as Zakk Wylde, the guitarist for Ozzy Osbourne, and founder of the Black Label Society.

Besides being one of the greatest guitar players in Rock and Roll, he is also one of the most fun people we have ever had the privilege to work with (on a number of occasions).

Happy Birthday Zakk!!!

Dave Grohl of Nirvana, Foo Fighters and many other bands is celebrating his 56th birthday today. Besides his music, Dave is also a film maker. If you haven't seen his movie "Sound City", you are missing a great film about a legendary recording studio.

But one of the things we like most about him, is his outlook on music, kids, life etc. Read the quote below and you'll know why we feel this way.

Happy Birthday Dave!!!!!!!
