The Sandlot is back and will air every Sunday night at 8pm on KABC radio am 790 , also streamed live on KABC.com . Sandlot has a radio show page and podcast page on the sight under weekend programming and podcasts . The podcast will be available every Monday morning on the KABC website .
The first few shows feature members of the Portland Maverick baseball team include Big League Chew founder Rob Nelson , Bing Russel's grandson Matt Franco , a former Maverick batboy and major league player . Also Bing's son Kurt Russel , a former professional baseball player before become a Hollywood icon . We will also tell Head bat boy for the maverick , Todd Fields story, and how the Maverick experience help give him the confidence to become a academy award nominated director . Lastly , Kurt Russel himself talking about his Dad Bing and the life he was fortunate enough to live because of his Dad's love for baseball. The Battered Bastards of baseball can be viewed now on Netflix.
The sandlot season will run 20 weeks and will feature the back yard childhood Sandlot stories of the biggest names in baseball. Please tune in
