The first hour is a prog-rock romp that has included -- Budgie, Starcastle, Billy Thorpe, RUSH and others.

Still to come this hour will be some deeper cuts from STYX and Utopia, along with some album cuts from bands like YES, Uriah Heep, Queensryche, Pink Floyd, Genesis and others.

Tonight's radio program will feature my first guest DJ in a while, as I welcome the return of Olivia Kocon, who has been a guest DJ in the past when not too busy with modeling gigs, roller derby events and other cool projects.

Tonight will also feature a Thin Lizzy mini-set of songs in the memory of Nicholas J. Ross -- a loyal listener of mine for over two decades -- who I just found out passed away this past June. Nick was a regular when it came to requests, and most of the time would ask to hear some Thin Lizzy. Tonight, I will spin a block of Lizzy in honor of Nick in the hopes Heaven has a really good radio receiver.

I did an extended tribute to the late John Mayall to start the program --- songs that paired him with the likes of Mick Taylor, Peter Green, Mick Fleetwood, Jonny Lang, and Otis Rush. Also shared a couple of stories of my encounters with John and played the first song by him that made me a fan, going back to my early, early Night Rock days.
