New Paltz Rock is now JBs House of Music Our mission is to bring the joy of playing music to everyone through workshops and lessons. The is truly the best way to get started.

New Paltz Rock, now JB's House of Music, is here to provide your aspiring rock musicians the opportunity to play and learn about rock music. Learn and play sings by the great rock bands and singers who created the history of rock and popular music. In our workshops students play in a band, learn some of the all time classics, develop their skills, meet other musicians, write songs and
gain valuab

le experience working with others. Ultimately the bands let it all out in a performance at the end of the workshop. It builds confidence, brings young musicians together, allows the to express themselves and learn what it takes to create something together. And it doesn't end after one workshop. Many students have come back for more and we often have openings for our bands to play at outside venues. Whether they play in one workshop or come back over and over again, this is an experience they will never forget! The workshops are open to all instrumental musicians and singers ages 9-17. New Paltz Rock is owned and directed by UK musician Julian Baker. Julian has worked in the music business since graduating college in '86. From London to New York Julian has worked in recording studios, performed in clubs, produced artists, traveled Europe and worked on artists tours. This experience inspired Julian to work with young musicians, helping them learn and prepare for performing and working effectively and respectfully with others. New Paltz Rock is owned and directed by UK musician Julian Baker. Julian has worked in the music business since graduating college in '86. From London to New York Julian has worked in recording studios, performed in clubs, produced artists, traveled Europe and worked on artists tours. This experience inspired Julian to work with young musicians, helping them learn and prepare for performing and working effectively and respectfully with others. Julian plays bass, keyboards and guitar and teaches at Marist College. He was also awarded Gold Certification by the RAAA for a production with Beats Planet that scored over 81 million views on Youtube.
