Friends... I did a thing. Applied for a silly contest. I could win $20,000, which isn't so silly!

In fact it could make a HUGE difference with recovering some of the more than 50K of unreimbursed medical expenses we had last year thanks to 3 of us having a disease that the medical establishment refuses to acknowledge. I wish I was exaggerating! But I'm not. We did our taxes and we spent over 50K on treatments last year. Ughhh.

If you feel so inclined, please take 1 minute and vote for me! And then share it with your friends so they can vote for me too!

One deserving woman will take the title as the Super Mom. The winner will receive $20,000, a two-page spread in Woman's World magazine, and a weekend getaway in Palm Springs, California. Will you take the SuperMom crown?

This smacks of "Big Brother" from 1984. And we should all be very. very CONCERNED.

Please share this post far and wide. It has very frightening implications for YOUR privacy in the therapeutic context.

Everyone is raving on about the horrors of the school shootings and insisting that at least on some level, mental health needs to be addressed at a large level in this country. Now, will we stand by and allow the very bedrock of mental health counseling to be destroyed by greedy corporations? Or will we step up and demand that they get their hands out of our pocketbooks and their interference out of our lives?! I think this is going to require congressional intervention, as these insuramce company corporate giants will not go down without a fight.

We CANNOT allow this.

Beacon Health Options is challenging some fundamental notions in its latest approach to value-based care in outpatient mental health.  Neil

Here are the details on our upcoming remote "Breaking Free From Codependency" Support Group! Registration is now open, and our first session will be February 22, 2022 from 7:30 to 9 pm est. We will send a link for the remote meeting room with your welcome email.

Just what is Codependency anyway? It is an emotional and behavioral condition that affects an individual’s ability to have a healthy, mutually satisfying relationship.
Some common symptoms of Codependency are:

* Looking outside oneself for happiness or to assign blame for unhappiness

*Some Codependents can appear emotionally “needy” and insecure

*Other Codependents seem “fiercely independent”

*All Codependents have difficulty maintaining healthy relationships

*Dysfunctional Communication — patterns of miscommunication

*Insecurity/Low Self Esteem

*Repeated patterns of experiencing oneself as a Victim, Persecutor, and/or Rescuer

*Patterns of unhealthy “Caretaking”

*The tendency to carry around resentments and live in chronic FEAR

*Many Codependents have a significant fear of Abandonment/Rejection

*Often Codependency brings with it passive/aggressive communication styles

*Many Codependents are “People Pleasers,” and tend to avoid conflict and have difficulty asserting their own needs

This group will be offered via GoToMeeting every Tuesday, starting on 2/22/22 through May 10, 2022, from 7:30 pm to 9 pm.

Registration is now available for all interested parties. If you would like to register, go to:
